Abstract:

RBM6 is a type of RNA binding protein with five splice variants. Previous researchs have found that compared with the normal tissues, the expression of these splices in tumor tissues, such as lung cancer and breast cancer, has significantly changed. However, their function is still unclear. Besides, more and more studies have shown that RBM6 may be considered as an important regulator in tumor progression. This review summarizes the research progress of RBM6 from three aspects: gene and protein structure, mechanisms, and the relationship with diseases.
