Abstract: Neural stem cells (NSCs) have the ability of self-renew and multiple differentiations. The proliferation and differentiation of NSCs can be regulated by internal or external, adjacent or far-off cell signaling pathways. Recently, researchers indicated that Notch signaling pathway probably can deliver cell signal though receptors and ligands of adjacent cells and then impact NSCs morphology and their neural differentiation. Recent researches on the effects of Notch signaling pathway on NSCs proliferation and differentiation were reviewed in this paper.
