Abstract: Adipose tissue-derived stem cells (ADSCs) provide a promising future for the therapy of multiple diseases due to their abundance, easy of availability, low immunogenicity, huge potential of proliferation and multilineage differentiation abilities. The relationship between ADSCs and obesity is becoming the focus of the public due to the epidemic of obesity and ADSCs connection with it. The current review focuses on the latest research progresses about ADSCs biological characteristics and their correlation with obesity, aiming at providing a theoretical reference for their future application in clinical practice.
