Abstract: Stem cells are a kind of cells, which are infinite or eternal, and which have the self-renewing capacity, consisting of embryo-derived stem cells and adult stem cells. Embryo-derived stem cells were classified into embryonic stem cells, embryonal carcinoma cells and primordial germ cells. Adult stem cells include marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells, hematopoietic stem cells, neural stem cells, epidermal stem cells and adipose tissue-derived stem cells and so on. With embryonic stem cells culture technologies having become mature, somatic cells nuclear transfer technology combine with it and generate embryonic stem cells via nuclear transfer (ntES cells). They can be used not only for preclinical medicine research, but also for tissue repair and transplantation in clinical medicine. This review focus on nuclear transfer efficiency about stem cells as a nuclear donor, establishment of ntES cells lines, its nature and inducement and differentiation.
