Abstract: As a specific type of rescuing chimerism, diploid-tetraploid aggregation approach usually results in pure animals derived predomintly from diploid component, which fulfills its wide application in gene expression and control research. This review hereby summerizes current diploid-tetraploid research progresses and its possible applications in gene function, meanwhile, the relevant prospective has also been envisaged objectively.
