The AITD (autoimmune thyroid disease) is the common thyroid disease, with an increasing incidence. AITD can cause hyperthyroidism or hypothyroidism, which can have irreversible long-term effects on the patient’s life. AITD includes HT (Hashimoto’s thyroiditis) and GD (Graves’ disease). Thyroid autoantibodies are the differential diagnostic index of AITD and non-AITD, and can improve the diagnostic efficiency of the disease. In this paper, AITD, thyroid autoantibodies, and the relationship between thyroid autoantibodies and AITD were reviewed, which provided new ideas for the diagnosis of AITD.
