Abstract:

In recent years, more and more evidences have proved that abnormal lipid metabolism plays a key role in the occurrence and development of cancer. In particular, lipid accumulation caused by abnormal lipid metabolism promotes the occurrence and development of cancer by providing energy for cancer cells, remodeling membrane structure, participating in signal transduction, and other ways, providing important advantages for cancer. This article mainly introduces the effects and mechanisms of lipid accumulation on cancer development and drug resistance from the aspects of fatty acid and cholesterol metabolism, as well as how lipids accumulate in cancer cells and the analysis of lipid metabolic pathways, providing potential strategies for cancer diagnosis and treatment.
