Abstract: Nicotine is a main component in tobacco, which has broad biological significance. Not only does nicotine have effect on the development of nerve, respiratory and cardiovascular systems, but has a complex interaction with carcinogenesis. By regulating apoptosis, nicotine plays an important biological role. This paper mainly reviews the signal pathways and molecular mechanisms of nicotine in apoptotic regulation.
