Breast cancer stem cells are cells with self-renewal capabilities and the potential for multidirectional differentiation within breast tumors. The occurrence, development, metastasis, and recurrence of breast cancer are closely associated with the high tumorigenicity, high invasive metastatic ability, and treatment resistance ofstem cells. In-depth research on the regulation of breast cancer stem cells-related cytokines and microenvironmentalfactors is of significant guiding importance for clinical targeted therapy of breast cancer. This article reviews recentadvances in the regulation of breast cancer stem cells, including signaling pathways, transcription factors, epigenetic regulatory factors, and microenvironmental factors. It explores the potential value of breast cancer stem cellsand their associated signaling factors as therapeutic targets for breast cancer, providing new directions for clinicaltargeted therapy of breast cancer.
