Abstract:

Nucleic acid detection technology is widely used in pathogen detection due to its high sensitivity and strong specificity, and plays an important role in public health management and clinical treatment decision making. Moreover, detection technology based on Class 2 type V CRISPR-Cas system possesses attributes such as simplicity, rapidity, and exhibits promising potential for further applications. This review provides a concise overview of the composition, structure, function, and mechanism of the Class 2 type V CRISPR-Cas system. It further highlights the various nucleic acid detection platforms developed using different V-type Cas proteins and discusses their corresponding application scenarios, concluding with a brief outlook on their future prospects.
