Abstract:

New therapeutics for cancer treatment is one of hotspot fields of medical oncology. Epigenetic regulation plays a crucial role in tumorigenesis, including DNA methylation, histone modification, and non-coding RNA regulation. In recent years, epigenetic therapy has been attractive strategy for cancer treatment due to the dynamic reversibility of epigenetic changes. Here the latest progression in epigenetic therapies in tumor treatment is reviewed from two aspects: targeted therapeutic strategies based on cancer epigenetic alteration, and hightlighting epigenetic therapy to overcome anti-cancer drug resistance. It aims to provide references and inspiration for researchers in the field of cancer treatment, promoting the application and development of targeted epigenetic regulation in cancer treatment.
