Abstract:

With the rapid development of mass spectrometry technology, its application in tumor biomarker research is expanding. This review details the latest research progress of mass spectrometry in tumor biomarker screening at the level of nucleic acids, proteins and metabolites from the three aspects of sample pretreatment, mass spectrometry detection, and clinical application, and then summarizes the advantages and challenges of different mass spectrometry methods. Finally, a systematic outlook on the prospects of mass spectrometry-based tumor biomarker screening is presented. It is expected to provide a valuable reference for the researches in related fields.
