Cell models are one of the effective methods to study the pathogenesis of depression. In recent years, the exploration of pathogenesis through the establishment of in vitro depression cell models has become a hot spot for research scholars. By sorting out the relevant literature on in vitro cell models of depression in recent years, this paper summarizes and systematically analyzes from the three aspects of the cell lines used in cell models (PC12 cells, BV2 cells, HT22 cells and SH-SY5Y cells), induction methods (corticosterone, lipopolysaccharide, glutamate and hydrogen peroxide) and induced pluripotent stem cells, in order to provide references for the selection of suitable cell models and for the later study of the pathogenesis of depression and the screening of antidepressant drugs.
