Abstract:

lncRNA (long non-coding RNA) is a kind of RNA with a length greater than 200 nt and does not have the ability of protein coding. A large number of lncRNA have been found in different plant by high-throughput sequencing technology. Research shows that lncRNA is an important regulator in plants and participates in a wide range of biological processes, including seed germination, seedling formation, vegetative growth, reproductive growth and stress response. lncRNA can be used as signal molecule, decoy molecule, guide molecule and scaffold molecule to regulate gene expression to achieve its function. This paper reviews the production, classification and action mechanism of plant lncRNA, and discusses the research progress of plant lncRNA in regulating ontogeny and responding to stress, which will provide a reference basis for further study of plant lncRNA.
