Abstract:

SLs (strigolactones) are novel plant hormones that regulate the plant growth and development, and SLs plays an important role in regulating root architecture. This review focuses on the regulation of SLs on primary roots, lateral roots, root hairs and adventitious roots, especially the interaction between SLs and other signaling molecules such as auxin, ethylene and NO, and the regulation of SLs on roots under nitrogen and phosphorus stress, laying a foundation for further understanding the regulation of SLs on plant growth and development.
