Abstract: Snail is a transcription factor of the zinc-finger type as a negatively regulator, and very conservative in different species. Snail superfamily plays important roles in the physiological and pathological progresses, such as embryo implantation, embryogenesis, carcinogenesis, cell fate determination, cell cycle regulation, left-right asymmetry, wound healing and so on. Further study on Snail not only illuminates the functions of Snail superfamily, but also offers theoretical foundations for exploring tumor therapeutic strategies.
