Research Progress of Stem Cells from Human Exfoliated Deciduous Teeth

Abstract: Stem cells from human exfoliated deciduous teeth (SHEDs) have strong ability of proliferation and differentiate into various types of somatic cells. At the same time, the advantages of its source are readily available and easy to handle, making it an ideal source of cellular therapy and regenerative medicine. This article reviews its biological properties, preclinical studies and future prospects.
