Abstract: Long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) regulate gene expression related to various biological processes,at transcriptional, post-transcriptional and epigenetic levels. Recent studies suggest that lncRNAs play a critical role in modulating the initiation and progression of heart diseases. This review summarized the function of lncRNA in heart development and heart diseases, and indicated its significant diagnostic and therapeutic potential in the future.
