Abstract: The Wnt signaling transduction regulates diverse processes such as cell proliferation, regeneration and differentiation. Recent studies have found that Wnt signaling pathway involved in a series stages of decision of differentiation, mesenchymal condensations, chondrogenic differentiation of stem cells and hypertrophy. Its mechanism is important to cartilage repair and cartilage function. This paper reviewed the progress in the canonical and non-canonical Wnt signaling pathway in the regulation of stem cell differentiation into cartilage.
