The Relationship between LIN28/let-7 Signal Pathway and Cancer

Abstract: The let-7 family， one of the most ancient and highly conserved microRNAs (miRNAs)， plays critical roles in tumor suppressing. However， during normal development， accumulation of let-7 can be prevented by LIN28， a highly conserved RNA-binding protein， suggesting that over-expression of LIN28 might promote malignancy via repression of let-7. Emerging evidences suggest that LIN28/let-7 signal pathway can not only partly reveal the mechanism of tumorigenesis， but also guide the treatment of cancers.
