Abstract: Dysfunction of sensorimotor gating is related to many kinds of psychiatric disorders. Prepulse inhibition, as a robust operational measure of sensorimotor gating, was tested in C57BL/6J mice using startle response system in this study. Furthermore, a mouse model of PPI disruption induced by MK-801, which is a noncompetitive antagonist of the N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor, was successfully established.
