Abstract: Spermatogonial stem cells (SSCs) can renew themselves and commit to differentiate into spermatozoa. Using SSCs to prepare transgenic animal models have key roles in understanding the mechanism of spermatogenesis, producing transgenic animals, and rebuilding spermatogenic function of infertile individual. We reviewed the method of preparing transgenic animals by SSCs, and put forward some new ideas like cloning technique to enrich this method.
