Abstract: Rad17 is one of important checkpoint proteins in DNA damage checkpoint and DNA replication checkpoint, and plays a vital role in responding to DNA damage and stalled replication forks. The roles of Rad17 in DNA damage checkpoint, DNA replication checkpoint, telomere length maintaining, meiotic checkpoint and tumorigenesis are reviewed in this paper.
