Abstract: Prion protein (PrP) is the pathogen of transmissible spongiform encephalopathy (TSE), and its detection is the important diagnosis basis of the disease. In this paper, a new technology named protein misfolding cyclic amplification was reviewed, including the technical principles, methods, influence factors and applications in the prion diseases detection. The aim is to provide theoretical references for the detection of prion protein and the mechanism of the disease.
