Abstract: MHC-II is of central importance to the adaptive immune response and T-cell selection and activation. Its gene-expression is controlled by the master regulatory factor-class II transactivator (CIITA). CIITA coordinates the interaction of multiple transcription factors and MHC-II promoters, and the mechanism also involves the epigenetic modification and remodeling of chromatin. The study on the regulation of MHC-II by CIITA has positive meanings on vaccine designation and tumor therapy.
