Abstract:

PZP (pregnancy zone protein) is a highly estrogen-dependent immune plasma protein, which contains multiple protease recognition sites and is an excellent immunosuppressant. PZP has unique structure, physical and chemical properties and has great potential in biomedical applications. In recent years, with the development of ELISA and mass spectrometry, PZP level has been evaluated in disease, and its elevation has been reported to be associated with malignant disease. This article reviews the research progress of PZP in related diseases, and focuses on its research as a new serum marker of tumor, in order to provide a new idea for the diagnosis of tumor.
