Abstract:
With cutting-edge MS (mass spectrometry)-based proteomic technologies (e.g. single-cell proteomics) getting mature nowadays, their application in hematology is quickly expanding. This article briefly introduces MS-based proteomics, then reviews recent progress in blood proteomics, and further comments on the technological improvements of plasma/serum proteomics and the potential of extracellular vesicle proteomics. Finally, the future development of clinical blood proteome is prospected. Clinical blood proteomics will certainly become a research focus in near future.
