Abstract:
MM (multiple myeloma) is an incurable hematological malignancy characterized by complex genetic changes and clonal evolution involved in the disease progression from MGUS (monoclonal gammopathy of undermined significance), SMM (smoldering myeloma) and eventually to PCL (plasma cell leukemia). In the recent years extensive studies about MM genomics have shed light on the malignant transformation. This review summarizes the genomic landscape and prognostic significance of MM and reveals targets for scientific research and clinical intervention.
