Abstract:
Dyslipidemia is a major risk factor for atherosclerosis and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, lipid-lowering therapy is always the foundation of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease treatment. Angiopoietinlike protein 3 is considered to be an effective and promising lipid-lowering therapeutic target. Targeted inhibition of ANGPTL3 has the effect of lowering plasma lipid levels and inhibiting atherosclerosis. This article reviews the relationship between ANGPTL3 and lipid metabolism and atherosclerosis.
