Abstract: DNA methylation is one of the major modifications in epigenetic level, and plays an important role in mammalian growth and development. The DNA methylation level of primordial germ cells and methylation rearrangement during embryonic development, and placentation of abnormal methylation is closely related to the reproductive process. Otherwise, DNA methylation also related to male infertility, spontaneous abortion and ART application, which affects the epigenetic process. In this paper, DNA methylation in mammalian reproductive was reviewed and expounded with the relationship between male infertility, spontaneous abortion and the ART process and DNA methylation relationship.
