Abstract: CD4+CD25+ regulatory T cells, a functional subset of inhibitory T cells, play a crucial role in the maintenance of immune homeostasis and immune tolerance. These functions are closely correlated to peripheral homeostasis of CD4+CD25+ regulatory T cells. Recent evidence showed that there are two ways that could contribute to the peripheral homeostasis of CD4+CD25+ regulatory T cells, in which some functional molecules may be involved.
