Abstract:

α-Syn (α-Synuclein, SNAC) is originally a protein isolated from the amyloid plaques in the brains of the patients, and it plays an important role in synaptic activity. α-Syn is mainly expressed in the brain. Studies have found that it is involved in the occurrence and development of cerebral ischemic injury. Based on the existing evidence, this article briefly introduces the basic concepts of α-Syn, and then briefly introduces the expression changes of α-Syn after cerebral ischemia, focusing on the role of α-Syn in cerebral ischemia. The information provided in this article may help in-depth exploration of α-Syn, which may be an effective target for the diagnosis and treatment of cerebral ischemia in the future.
