Abstract:

As the main glial cells in the peripheral nervous system, Schwann cells play an important role in the structure and function maintaining of the axon. The differentiation and reverse differentiation of Schwann cells have been one of the hotspots in developmental neurobiology in recent years. However, the molecular mechanism of Schwann cells development is not fully understood, posing barriers for further research and clinical translation. In terms of developmental neurobiology, this paper summarizes the molecular mechanism related to Schwann cells development in the past two decades, in order to provide theoretical basis for related studies.
