Abstract:

CNV (copy number variation) refers to the addition, deletion or rearrangement of more than 1 Kb of DNA fragments in the genome. The early diagnosis and treatment of cancer have always been difficult problems to be solved in this century. CNV-related researches provide valuable insights for human health and disease treatment. At present, CNV research has triggered a new understanding of diseases, especially in the etiology research, clinical di-agnosis, new drug development and treatment of diseases (such as cancer) that are closely related to genetic material. This paper reviews the research methods, causes of CNV, and the relationship between CNV and cancer in order to promote the development of cancer-related research.
