Caspase and Central Nervous System Disease

Abstract: In recent years, considerable progress has been made in understanding the process of cell death. A character of many central nervous system (CNS) diseases is correlation with caspase. In this paper, we reviewed the important of caspase and the mechanisms of neuronal-cell death in CNS diseases. Meantime, we summarized the evidence concerned with apoptosis, and discussed the knowledge of therapeutic strategies.
